The Selection Process for The 20

Vision 20/20 has empaneled a selection committee composed of Philadelphia’s pre-eminent business, civic and thought leaders. The selection committee will choose each class of 20 based on a rigorous framework of qualitative and quantitative metrics.

The Selection Committee will solicit nominations from the region's experts and change makers in a variety of fields. To be considered, nominated candidates must be driving fundamental, transformative change in business, health, education, the environment, culture or society—typically with measurable real-world results—or have clear and demonstrable potential to do so.

The 20 will be an interdisciplinary team mixing members with expertise and experience in public health and those from unrelated backgrounds to spur creativity. The 20 will be instructed to capture ideas and perspectives from a full spectrum of diversity, including race, gender, educational background, age, sexual preference, geographic origin, occupation, institutional representation and experience level.
